I’ve been itching to try something new, and I think I’ve finally come up with an interesting challenge.
If you’re a writer on Twitter, you’ve probably been a member of the #5amWritersClub, a group of like-minded, possibly insomniac, writers who are just trying to get some work in before the day begins.
I’ve done 5am writing once or twice a month, and always find it productive… but go back to being lazy the next day.
So I’m going to challenge myself to join the club for a week.
Rules:
- Wake up at 5AM, starting on Tuesday July 21st, 2020.
- Write for one hour.
- Focus only on those creative passion projects you’re always putting off. No marketing writing, no writing for social media, only work on a story that means something to you.
- After your hour is up, write a quick blurb describing today’s writing session.
- Do this daily until July 28th.
Will this work? Will I actually be able to get up in time? I honestly don’t know, but I’m excited that I’m getting the chance to be challenged.
See you tomorrow!
